A darkly humorous illustration series that takes familiar pop-culture icons and drops them into strange, disturbing and unexpected alternate realities.

Drawing from the visual language of ’90s cartoons, graffiti and lowbrow art, the series uses bright colors and familiar characters to explore the darker side of nostalgia, modern behavior and everyday vices. The contrast between something instantly recognizable and something completely wrong is at the heart of the project.

What began as a viral illustration series expanded beyond the screen into published books, art exhibitions, collectible toys and interactive physical pieces.
